Cross Connections - January 2015

A blessed new year under the grace and mercy of God!  Happy 2015!

Thank you.  On behalf of your pastors and our families, we thank you for your many kindnessess, cards and thoughtful expressions through Advent and our Christmas celebration of God's gift to us of the Savior we need.  We are blessed to be here at Ebenezer to serve God and one another as a reflection of the love He first showed to us.

Chris, Michael and I continue to be blessed with the warmth and supportiveness of our Ebenezer family.  You have welcomed us and shown true southern hospitality.  We thank you especially for your prayers for Chris' parents through their health struggles.  It is difficult being so far away from family at times like these, but the family you have become for us is truly valued.

With Epiphany leading to an early Lenton season, beginning February 18th, I am amazed at how much more quickly time passes as time passes.  Let's resolve together to make the most of the moments we share, seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Our Stephen Ministry team is preparing for the privilege of entering into active caring ministry; walking with people going through the normal crises of life, through changes and losses where we just need someone to stay and listen for a while.  We will soon be matching our Stephen Ministers with care receivers.  If you are in need of a Stephen Minister or would like to know more about this ministry, please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or stop by my office to chat.  Please do not refer another as a care receiver without their permission.

We have begun a study of God's servant, Moses, liberating and teaching God's people.  We will observe his growth in stature and prominence in Pharaoh's household, his awakening to his Hebrew roots, lessons learned from failure, and the humilty he learned as a servant leader under the mercy of God.  Join us for this Bible Study in the chapel each Sunday at 9:45am.
